Samantha was excellent throughout the airport and airplane; Daddy warned her that Mama would be coo-coo bananas.
She even got to "fly" the plane AKA visit the cockpit!
Once we arrived and after lunch, we went to City Park and unfortunately StoryLand was closed, but the playground and sculpture garden were open!
After, we stopped by Rebecca & Jeff's to give hugs and pick up a delicious king cake!
Guess who found the baby? ;)

Story Land! Samantha loved running up to all the story book's characters and made a new friend as well.-- I'm glad she enjoyed the park that I loved going to when I was little!

Samantha missed Daddy, so she drew him a picture. I thought it would be sweet if she mailed it to him. So, she took care of it....

Rockets and Wagons with Abigail and then... the Metairie Parade!
Samantha's first parade: Mama told her what to do: throw your arms up and yell "Hey {Throw Me Something, Mister!}" She did great, but got very upset if she didn't get noticed and get anything. She got the hang of it quickly and grabbed things off the ground and was so excited when she got loot!

Uptown Parades with Jeff, Rebecca, Noah & Elle.
The spot we chose was right where the Indians and their horses joined the parade! Samantha asked to pet the horses. They were very kind.

Finally! She saw the horsey across the 'street'. She kept clicking for him to come to the gate. He got closer, but never close enough *neigh*
