Hello 2013!

Happy 2013, Love the Wells!
We took a little break from being cooped up and walked to the park. Samantha found a stick and enjoyed using it to walk and then she tried to make a tree into a taller tree. Once we got to the playground and started playing, her imagination kicked into high gear. She kept singing "Hickory Dickory Dock" and started spotting snakes, kitties, squirrels and even elephants all over the park! Then she leaned back on the swing as if she were flipping and everything was upside down: the sky was the ground and the ground the sky. After, she decided that she wanted to be in the circus, but not to flip like a trazepe artist, she wanted to ride the elephants. Guess what we're doing at the circus in a few weeks?! What an excited little girl!

Samantha's first (and only bite of cabbage). Don't let that look fool you, she didn't really enjoy it, but she didn't complain and swallowed in down. But for dinner, she scarfed down Daddy's black-eyed peas!
Working on my fortune with cabbage.
Samantha's new thing is to "help do dishes, Mama". She carries a chair to the sink and splish-splashes her hands around in the sink with her cups. Tonight her shirt got all wet and Daddy was going to help change her. However, Sammie wanted to do it herself for the first time... and she did it! Look how excited she was!! Then she got on her snow suit by herself.
