Reading Rainbow

Since we uploaded the Hooked on Phonics books Daddy has been teaching Samantha how to read. She is doing a great job with Mat- Sat- Cat- Rat- Pat- Sam. Some times she seems bored and makes up sounds or letters, but tonight she did great! When they would go over "Mat" she'd say, "Daddy!" and when they would read "Sam" she would say "Samantha". She is familiar with the letters and how they sound but may not pay much attention to what she's doing. She'll get it, but as for now, she's doing so well! I personally wish they would write these beginner books and such in all caps. I'm still getting her used to recognizing all upper case letters.
