Mini-Me

"I'm Mama and you be Say-Say.... I'm driving the car to Ali's, so you get in the car seat. I'll buckle you in." <We use the back door rug as our car and previously a bus.> Can you tell she's wearing my ring and bracelets?
It's hard getting my thoughts together to post about the new things Sam is doing. She is such a little girl now and although it doesn't seem like she has new developments, she is perfecting her current ones. She speaks so well and understands everything you tell her. She will have a full conversation with you and can keep up. In fact, she'll remember the little things you say and bring it back months later! Try to remember that, like when for snack she wants the "red thing that we had at the kite festival." Any guesses? A fruit roll up!
She doesn't let anything go un-noticed! Every little detail, she sees and she'll call it out.
She is still very caring and now wants to fix all of Daddy and Mama's bo-bos. Even the invisible ones and the pretend ones.
I was watching her walk, and although she's always had great balance and stability, she can walk up steps one at a time, still holding on to a rail. I watched her on the back deck and she takes that step like a pro. She has just gotten so comfortable in her environment and has thrown hesitation out the window.
I love when when she says that she doesn't want you to do something, she says :"I want you don't [do that], Mama."
Still so lovable. Every night she gives BIG hugs and kisses and says "I love you SOOOOOO much!" and now extends her arms to show how much.
She says Grace before dinner and lunch when we are all together. The one she learned from school, "God is great. God is good. Thank you for our food."
She'll tell you what happened at school. Some times the truth is stretched a little.
She loves singing and dressing up and yes, is still a kitty on most days. She'll lick your face now.
She takes on any challenge and loves adventure, even though she may be shy about it.
She calls us "Mama Daddy"
She cleans up after herself, getting a towel for spills, a broom and dustpan for crumbs and throws-literally- her dishes in the sink.
She gets dressed by herself.
If you do something she wants to do, she will re-do it all.
She doesn't wear a pull up for naps (about a month, now).
Going on day 5 (5/22/13) with a dry morning pull-up!

*I was thinking of examples of things she understands:
1) Stopped at a red light, I start to inch up. She says "No, Mama, the light is not green!"
2) The slow car in front of me turns off and allows me to speed up to the limit, She says "Mama, you're going fast! The policeman is going to get you!"
