Since I have been so preoccupied with getting all this crafting done and Samantha has been so patient through it, I decided to take her to the park today. It's been rainy, so I prepared us for empty soggy ground with towels, a change of clothes and even rain boots. Boy was I wrong! It was dry, hot, and crowded- birthday party crowded... and I forgot there was a splash pad, so there were no bathing suits. Sam wanted to come home for them, but of course she got distracted by slides and swings. She did, however, ride her [new] trike around the park-Thanks Lori! With a push to start, she got herself going. Now, if only she could pay attention to the path and not the playing kids, she'll be doing A-OK!
Also, she decided to climb a rock wall about 6 feet up. She walked up to it, asked for help to get started, then I talked her through the rest and before you knew it she was up & up higher and I was praying that she wouldn't let go once at the top. A little boy watched her and I think he was surprised to see such a little girl climb up. I am so impressed!
After nap, I set up the sprinkler. Let's just say she wasn't as interested as she led on.
