From Snow Day to Sick Day(s)

Wednesday after dance Samantha started to not feel well. Judging by her behavior I knew an ear infection was creeping upon us. Waking from nap she cried out in pain, even Dixie went to check on her. She then vomited three times between 5pm and 3am. Our doctor's appointment couldn't come soon enough, however after sleeping on her floor and awakened by every cough, 8:30am did come too soon. So I rescheduled. Honestly, I should have known better. Samantha was a trooper at the doctor's visit, a wimpy one, but a trooper nonetheless. And an even bigger trooper as we went on the search for her medication, which no one seemed to have. Third times a charm... and they had a drive thru!
Diagnosis: {left} ear infection, possible virus (the vomiting) Her last ear infection was 1-24-13! That's just about exactly 1 year... and funny how she seems to get sick about 2 1/2 weeks before we go on vacation. *sigh*
Weight: 31.6 pounds
I called into work for today, because her fever came back during the night. I slept with her in the guest room so Daddy could sleep and I'd be more comfortable than on the floor. I was hoping that Friday morning was the light at the end of the tunnel. However, there was a light it just kept flickering. We went to the park, but only for a few minutes before she requested to come home. She had her ups and downs... Lots of downs. The cough is killing us.
I heard about a nonsense homeopathic way to relieve cough: A half cut (red) onion at the bedside. I'm not above anything to try this. But since it's a BAD cough, I used both halves. So far it's working like a charm! *Knock on wood* On that note, I'm going to bed. I actually have to go to work tomorrow. I hope she is a hundred times better for Daddy.

I found Daddy sleeping on the floor in the morning. She must have awaken all night. It seems as if she is having bad dreams because she cries out in her sleep constantly.
Saturday night, Daddy was prepared to sleep in the guest room. We're thinking maybe it's the onions making her cry out. We're at a loss.
*to be continued*
At the store where things probably started to hit her.
And they went South fast!- After nap... Then doctor's appointment, Thursday.
 My bedmate and friends.
Well, can't say she didn't try to have a good time at the playground. But you can see it in her eyes.

... and we're down hill again.

Daddy's turn. That spot on the couch was a definite hot spot!
